About 113 E North Street
Located at the very northern edge of Virginia City, at the end of a road, but within the city limits, sits this adorable cabin, on a full city block, overlooking 400+ acres of ranch land. Just wide-open spaces with peace & quiet, sweeping views of sage-covered hills and mountain ranges, breathtaking sunsets, and brilliant night skies. Nestled in this historic "ghost town," this homestead offers a unique getaway, ideally situated between Yellowstone Nat. Park and Glacier Nat. Park. The cabin is an original turn-of-the-century homesteader's cabin, built of hand-hewn logs, transported from the Ruby Valley. Saved from demolition, it was meticulously restacked, log by log, on its present site, using as many recycled materials as possible in its restoration. It has a corrugated tin roof. The cabin was completed in 2015. The property includes a greenhouse and decorative plantings. The large front porch is a perfect place for relaxing and watching the deer and antelope play. Upstairs, two interleading bedrooms can accommodate 4-6 people. The smaller BR includes a queen bed, while the larger BR features a double bed and a futon. The house is wired for electricity. However, there is a solar panel on site with wiring attached to the house. The house is wired for the use of solar panel & electricity. Enjoy the wilderness, starting right at your front porch, with the town just a short walk over the hill (10 to 15-minute leisurely walk or a 2-minute drive). Step back in time and immerse yourself in the history and beauty of Virginia City. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the stunning Montana landscape, whether the cabin is your basecamp for amazing vacations and getaways or your dream homestead, for year-around living. This IS the place.
